Obituary - Christian Martin Sorenson, born March 16, 1875, In Denmark; died Aug. 20, 1965, at College Place, Wash. In 1898 he completed the ministerial course at Southwestern Junior College and married Hattie White.  After serving as an evangelist for 6 years, in 1904 he was ordained to the gospel ministry. 

 

That year he began a teaching career that included Southwestern Junior College; Washington Missionary College, Emmanuel Missionary College, and La Sierra College.  Ten years of pastoral work in the Santa Cruz, Calif., area preceded his retirement in 1949. 

 

Survivors are his wife; daughter, Agnes, professor of modern languages at Walla Walla College; and a son, Virgil W., of McHenry, Ill.
